New England's Very Own Rail Enthusiast Site

Video Gallery Add Video

Here is where any member may add a video so that other members can view it. It's very easy to upload your favorite clip directly from You Tube or by using the URL.

Most people with camcorders and lots of Internet experience know exactly what to do in order to get a video from where they know it is to where they want it to go.

A..... When members click.... " + Add Video " A new page will open.

B.... From the " Add a Video " area, select the source of video to be uploaded. YouTube is the most common and easiest site to upload from.

C.... Go to the area where the box reads " DEFAULT LOCATION "

D.... Aim your pointer at the " DOWN " arrow & (L) click... a Title " MENU BOX " opens.

E.... Members will find about 50 categories of video to choose from.

F.... Scroll up or down the list " CLICK " the one you desire to place your video in.

G.... If unable to find a suitable location then click on DEFAULT LOCATION, by doing so it will load and store the video to a temporary file and then I can find an appropriate place to place it. If you have a place all set to place the video then skip Step " G "

H.... That video category will now be seen in the box, then click " SUBMIT "

I..... After clicking " SUBMIT " it will upload & go to the category you've chosen.

J.... IT'S IMPERETIVE THAT YOU MAKE SURE THE CORRECT CHOICE FOR WHERE YOU DERIRE TO PLACE YOUR VIDEO ( S ) BEFORE CLICKING " SUBMIT " .

The YouTube upload method works easiest, many of the newer camcorders are " YouTube " user friendly. Make sure to provide a title and some basic information such as date, location of taping, etc so that other viewers can enjoy and understand what's going on.

If a member decides to " Create a New Channel " revert back to " Line B " place the Green Dot next to the empty circle, then type in a new category name, proceed to " Line H " and continue.

All new channels will automatically " By Default " go to the bottom of the list.

Say for instance several different members submit videos regarding the same topic. They will all eventually go to the same channel but each contributor will keep the credit for each one they post. Example..... Members may have different videos of Pan Am trains yet when added into the Pan Am category, each members video will get posted on the page independently of the other members contributions. Trust me it works. Thanks.

Please post appropriate videos that YOU own. If there are any questions, please contact SLRR1.

SLRG (Iowa Pacific) E9 2402 struggles through Yarmouth Junction with a long string of loaded energy cars and CCCX 1501 in tow. This was the first time the engine had led a train in, by my calculations, about 6 years, so its pretty amazing to have her running. Enjoy the sound of her twin 645 prime movers and her new P5 horn as she struggles to maintain traction under heavy load.

On January 5th, 2013, I went to Conway Scenic for their anual Steam in the Snow event. Unlike previous years I decided to chase and was not disappointed with that decision. I got many great shots both of 573 and 7470 pulling the train through the snow. 573's new ex CN K3l was interesting, and as always, the 7470's 2 whistles sounded great. It was a great day of rail fanning. Scenes in order are: 1. 573 leading the train through Intervale 2. Glen 3. 573 working hard up the grade at Attatash 4. Bartlett, 573 having some wheel slip issues and 7470 lends a hand 5: 4th Iron with 573 and 7470 working to get the train up the grade 6: 7470 backing up for the 1st of 2 Runby's at Cobb Road 7: Cobb Rd Runby 1 8: Back up for Runby 2 9: Runby 2 10: Arriving at Bartlett 11: Bartlett Runby 12: Arriving at 302 Overpass 13: 302 Overpass Runby 14: Glen Runby 15: Woodland Pines 16: Intervale 17: North Conway Please enjoy my longest, most steam filled video to date!

On February 19th, 2013 Lerro Productions in Cooperation with Strasburg Railroad Sponsored a special photo charter. For the event, number 90 had her smoke box painted with aluminum paint, new decals added and her wheels and running boards painted white, and of course, Great Western on the tender! The engine looked almost like she did in the 1960s and put on an incredible show! Special thanks to Lerro Productions and the Strasburg Crews for putting on an awesome show. I got about 1600 photos and this video to remember the trip by! You'll see 90 at many locations with the sounds of her great Reading 6 chime, and lots of stack talk!

On Friday March 8th, I went to Canton Junction right after the snowstorm stopped, dumping up to 20+ inches of snow... I was unaware, that a large snow bank was on the inbound track. So what happens when a 100+mph train slams into that hidden snow bank? Well just watch.... I thought I was hit by a truck, due to the impact of snow I felt. I uploaded my video to youtube: Please check it out here, or on my youtube channel. Thanks.

Though the Eagle Lake & West Branch railroad was abandoned in 1933, it was used until the late 1960's by the Maine Forest Service for fire patrol. This footage shot in 1966 is of a 2 mile ride on the motor car from the Tramway Foresty camp to the Trestle across Allagash Stream which had burned and collapsed some years before.
